| | | Frankfort is a Lake Michigan port town and cottage community that sprung up in the post-lumber era. It's on the mouth of the Betsie River and near several inland lakes and has found its place as a recreation haven for outdoor enthusiasts, sailors, power boaters and anyone else looking to get away from urban stress.
Kilwin's of Frankfort is owned by Kilwin's Chocolates Franchise, Inc., and is managed by Gayle Rice (top picture). Gayle has recently returned to northern Michigan. Gayle's parents owned and operated a dairy and ice cream store in Benzonia for 40 years and Gayle is thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the area.
Gayle has spent many years of her career working for a major bookstore chain. She managed and trained managers for ther cafes within the stores.
Gayle is married and has adult children and spends her free time enjoying her grandchildren.
