Kilwins Gainesville is NOW OPEN!
Kilwins Gainesville Franchisee/Store Owners, Jeff & Genia Reid, are excited to bring a taste of Kilwins to downtown Gainesville! Genia is a lifetime resident of Hall County, has been in the education field for the past 28 years, and for the last 8 years has coached the West Hall Middle School boys’ cross country team. Jeff, originally from South Carolina, has worked for Ricoh USA for the past 28 years, most recently as the Vice President & Managing Director. The Reids are members of the Free Chapel Worship Center, volunteering for the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Genia volunteers for New Beginnings Ministry. They have just joined the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce and plan to continue being active in the community.
Kilwins Gainesville is located on the Historic Downtown Square in the Gainesville Renaissance building, a mixed-use development that features high-quality retail tenants, classroom space, and condominiums. Opening a business on The Square comes full-circle for Genia. Her first job when she was 16 was selling shoes at Millner’s Department Store, and Kilwins Gainesville is just around the corner from that site. “For me, it’s like coming home,” said Genia, “with all the hometown vibes!”
Stop in and sample some freshly-made Fudge, and try some of our favorite products, like Dark Chocolate Sea-Salt Caramel Apples, Chocolate-dipped confections, and any flavor of Kilwins’ super-premium Original Recipe Ice Cream in a freshly-made Waffle Cone. Visitors may even catch a glimpse of Genia’s aunt, Oma Millwood, who plans to visit the store every day to taste test and greet customers, as their #1 fan.
