Our Harbourtown, Plymouth chocolate store is an extension of our original Kilwins kitchen. When you walk through the doors, you’re instantly greeted with the smell of Mackinac Island Fudge, made the traditional way on marble tabletops and paddled by hand. If you prefer savory over sweet, we also cook caramel corn in our old-fashioned copper skillet using our original caramel recipe.

Kilwins was born in 1947 when our founders, Don and Katy Kilwin, opened the very first store in Petoskey, Michigan. Their mission was to provide their community with the best chocolates and caramels around.
Since then, we’ve grown quite a lot — we now have over 160 stores in 25 states. It’s clear that our founders had the right idea about desserts! Through it all, our mission has remained the same, and we’re proud to say that our confections are undoubtedly the best we’ve tried.
Our Heritage chocolate is made with the same recipe crafted by Don in 1947, as are our caramels. At our Harbourtown, Plymouth chocolate store, you can enjoy hand-made chocolate bars, truffles, and creams, as well as caramel corn, “Perfect” Caramel Apples, and TUTTLE™ nut caramels. Of course, don’t forget our delicious assortment of chocolate-covered treats.

At our Harbourtown, Plymouth ice cream store, you can find your flavor and use our toppings to build a unique creation. When we developed our original ice cream recipe in 1985, we followed that same quest for perfection that led our founders to make our famous Heritage chocolate. All of our sweets are made as if we’re serving them to our most treasured guests — because we are! Every guest is our most important guest.
Our ice cream is made from locally sourced cream to give it a rich, soft, and creamy finish. We add other high-quality ingredients to create our premium flavors, all of which are Kosher-certified.
Once our ice cream is finished, we pack it into our ice cream tubs. Our experts designed these tubs to make sure the ice cream stays rich and flavorful throughout the drive. It’s then driven to our Plymouth store on our very own temperature-controlled transport vans. This way, we can be certain the quality is never compromised.
