Kilwins was first started in 1947 by husband and wife Don and Katy Kilwin, who shared a passion for chocolates and dessert-making. They put up their very first store in Petoskey, Michigan, where they sold hand-made chocolates. Little did they know their store would eventually become world famous and attract customers left and right. Eventually, their lineup of sweets and baked goods grew into the diverse collection of treats we proudly feature on our menu today.
Today, you can find Kilwins across the US, with one of them at the Beachwalk in St. Johns, Florida. St. Johns is beloved by local residents who live the tropical getaway lifestyle 365 days a year, just as much as visitors love our incredible community. With crystal-clear beaches, picturesque parks, and bustling shopping centers, the city calls for fun and adventure all year round.

We spent significant time developing and perfecting our ice cream because we wanted it to be unlike any other. Then, in 1985, we proudly added our Original Recipe Ice Cream to our menu.
We currently have dozens of unique flavors to choose from, including some that you can only find at our St. Johns ice cream store. Pair these flavors with our selection of premium toppings.
Our toppings include our signature Mackinac Island fudge, sea-salt caramel, nuts, chocolate chips, and more. The final touch is our crispy and freshly cooked waffle cones that make the perfect container to wrap it all up and enjoy.
Our Kosher-certified ice cream is made from the finest dairy sourced from local family farms. This is how we ensure every batch is completely fresh. We also operate our very own climate-controlled vehicles to keep our ice cream from melting (or getting too cold) before it reaches our store. This ice cream is only stored in specialized tubs that shield it from air exposure to retain its flawless consistency.
