With a classic Americana-style seating area and the friendliest staff you’ll meet, our Williamsburg ice cream store is the perfect place to rest. Plus, between our made-in-house chocolate-dipped sweets, chewy caramels, and rich truffles, we can almost guarantee there will be something for every member of your vacation party.
In 1947, Don and Katy Kilwin opened the first Kilwins store. Since then, we’ve expanded enough to span 25 states and over 150 franchise locations.
Even though we’ve gotten bigger, we’ve never left the roots of that first store location. Our recipes are the same ones our founders used, and we strive for perfection with every batch of Heritage chocolate we make. We think of our customers as treasured guests — we’re dedicated to serving only the best confections because that’s what we’d do for our loved ones.
On the shelf of every Kilwins, you can find mouthwatering treats like TUTTLE™ NUT Caramels, truffles, and creams. Behind the counter, you can see our delicious, made-in-house Mackinac Island Fudge traditionally hand-paddled on smooth marble tables. Perfection isn’t something we hope for — it’s something we serve all day long.

Step back in time with a scoop of our Original Recipe Ice Cream. This recipe was first dreamed up in 1985, and it was so popular that we knew we needed to make it a permanent part of our selection.
Our ice cream is made from milk and cream sourced from local family farms, and all of our flavors are Kosher-certified. Even our waffle cones and waffle bowls are made in-house, although that’s hardly a surprise — you can smell the tempting aroma of freshly made ice cream cones a mile away.
Our commitment to quality doesn’t stop with our recipe. We don’t trust anyone but ourselves to properly transport our ice cream, so we use our own specially designed fleet to move ice cream to our Williamsburg chocolate store.
These vans allow us to continually monitor the temperature of our ice cream, ensuring the consistency stays as rich and creamy as it was when we made it. We didn’t just stop there, either. While it’s in transport, our ice cream is stored in tubs that we designed specifically to preserve the flavor and quality of our Original Recipe Ice Cream.

While there are plenty of ice cream stores in Williamsburg, only Kilwins has ice cream that’s this rich and creamy. With our custom-built transport vans and tubs, compromising our oath of quality is never in question. If it’s not perfect, it’s not Kilwins.

From the minute you enter our Williamsburg chocolate store, you can smell the rich aroma of hand-paddled Mackinac Island Fudge cooling on our marble countertops.
Mackinac Island Fudge is poured from traditional copper kettles onto a cool slab of marble. A talented Kilwins team member pushes and pulls the cooling fudge until it solidifies. It’s a labor-intensive process but well worth it—and your chance to try Mackinac Island Fudge without flying to Michigan.
Our truffles and TUTTLE™ Nut Caramels are also popular favorites, as are our chocolate-dipped cookies, pretzels, and marshmallows.
We offer a variety of seasonal treats at our Williamsburg location. Beyond our normal seasonal offerings, you can also find holiday-themed chocolates and candies, seasonal gift baskets, and even limited-edition ice cream flavors.
