Welcome to Kilwins Birkdale Village located in Huntersville, North Carolina. The store is owned and operated by Bill and Donna Kenney along with their daugther and son-in-law, Stephanie and Josh Plott. Their store opened in February 2011, and has the beautiful Lake Norman around the corner!
From the moment you walk in the door, your senses will be enticed with the sweet aroma of Chocolate, Fudge, and freshly made Waffle Cones. Kilwins hand-crafts a wide variety of confections right in store! See creamy Mackinac Island Fudge being paddled the traditional way on marble tables. Watch as Granny Smith apples are dipped in Kilwins original Caramel recipe, developed by Don Kilwin himself, for that perfect and best tasting Caramel Apple. The menu ranges from hand-paddled Fudge, delicious Truffles, hand-crafted Caramels, and Chocolate-dipped treats, to a variety of hand-crafted Caramel Corn and Brittle. Chocolate-dipped items range from fresh strawberries, rice krispie treats, cookies, pretzels and dozens more, dipped in Kilwins Heritage Milk, White or Dark Chocolate.
Kilwins Birkdale Village has 32 flavors of Original Recipe Ice Cream, including two non-dairy options and a No Sugar Added ice cream, and is some of the best Ice Cream you will ever enjoy! To top it off, hand-crafted Waffle Cones are made in the store for that fresh, crisp taste.
